Welcome to the spring edition of our semi-annual Still Fighting On! e-newsletter. Spring is a time for renewal, making this the perfect time to return to our beautiful campus and reconnect with fellow Half Century Trojans to celebrate our Trojan pride!
Don't miss the seventh annual Going Back to College Day on February 26, a yearly opportunity for Half Century Trojans to visit campus during a typical school day, engage in a stimulating array of academic and cultural activities, and celebrate many fine Trojan traditions. Touring the campus, you'll get a chance to see the dramatic changes that have taken place over the last 50+ years. Then, on April 12, join fellow Half Century Trojans for the USC spring musical, Grease, and experience an exclusive post-reception with the USC School of Dramatic Arts student cast and crew in Associates Park. Also, please mark your calendars for Friday, May 15, for the 132nd USC Commencement, a treasured tradition in which the university honors Half Century Trojans by having them lead the Commencement processional.
These events are wonderful opportunities to reunite with former classmates and reconnect with our alma mater. We hope you'll feel a renewed pride in being a member of our great Trojan Family.
Finally, I'd like to give a special thank you to Millie Farnsworth '46 for once again serving as editor of our e-newsletter. Enjoy, and I hope to see you on campus this spring!

Half Century Trojans Going Back to College Day
The seventh annual Going Back to College Day on Thursday, February 26, 2015, provides an opportunity for Half Century Trojans to visit campus on a typical school day and experience the stimulating academic and cultural environment of today's USC.
This year's inspiring program begins with Dr. Michael Quick, USC interim provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, discussing how USC is leading higher education in the 21st century. Then hear how the university is helping veterans succeed from a panel of USC student-veterans, moderated by USC School of Social Work Dean Marilyn Flynn. The morning program closes with an exclusive peak into the amazing world of robotics, as Dr. Maja J. Mataric, vice dean for research at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, introduces us to socially assistive robots with the potential to provide people with care and rehabilitation.
Following lunch, J.K. McKay, USC senior associate athletic director for football, will share updates and anecdotes from the USC Athletics. Then comes a special preview of the USC School of Dramatic Arts spring musical, Grease, followed by an optional guided tour through our beautiful, ever-evolving campus.
Don't miss this special event! Golf-cart shuttle service will be available from/to the parking structure. For more information and to register, please click here.
Join Us in the Procession at the 132nd USC Commencement Ceremony
Each spring, the university invites all Half Century Trojans to participate in the Commencement procession. Sharing this special moment with the current graduating class has been a highlight for scores of Half Century Trojans over the years.
This honor has been bestowed on the Half Century Trojans since 1949, when they were invited by USC President Rufus B. von KleinSmid to lead the graduation procession. The tradition has grown in popularity and is now one of the most treasured events on the Half Century Trojan calendar.
This year, Commencement takes place on Friday, May 15, 2015. We will convene for a light breakfast at the Widney Alumni House, then proceed to Bovard for the procession. If you would like to participate, please let us know -- email us or call (213) 821-5609.
