Society 53: The USC Alumni Association's student outreach program

at a glance

Society 53 is the USC Alumni Association's student outreach program. The 53 student leaders serve as USC Alumni Association ambassadors and provide programming and events that connect USC students with alumni.

Named in honor of the 53 students who formed USC's first student body in 1880, the program was launched November 5, 2008 at Widney Alumni House, the oldest building on campus.

Society 53 is involved in a variety of programs at USC and serves both the university and the Trojan Family in different capacities.

Who we are

Enrollment at USC is no longer a four-year academic commitment—it is an initiation into a lifelong and worldwide network of Trojans. Society 53 serves as the bridge between the student experience and alumni life. As such we are stewards of USC traditions and the official ambassadors of the USC Alumni Association to the Trojan Family. Membership is selective, competitive and representative of USC's diverse student body.

Society 53 members are trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of campus life and history. They attend official UCS Alumni Association events whenever possible to ensure the student experience is represented at alumni functions. You can meet us at Regional Club events, SCendoffs and Admitted Student Receptions, Alumni Awards, Tailgates, Reunions and Half-Century Trojan events.
